Rick shared that golfer checks are still coming in for the golf tournament. Projections are that total net proceeds will land somewhere above $8,000. Special thank you to Rick and Danielle for all of their hard work to present another successful tournament
....this year.
Club members began a thoughtful conversation around how to honor Suzanne. It was agreed that we should begin this conversation at our next board meeting.
Deb asked how we would like to proceed with a mystery dinner fundraiser. With short notice it may make sense to hold off until early Spring of 2022. Everyone also agreed that we are all still mourning the loss of Suzanne and that now may not be the time to proceed. Deb will reach out to Saco Bay to at least get details on how they put their dinners together and will connect with Billie Hobbs to discuss future dates.
Ellen will connect with the Trailblazers to see if their location may be an option as well and whether their organization might possibly facilitate
the play.
Danielle led a brief discussion concerning Charter night which should be held next may. Eleanor has volunteers to call Cape Neddick and see if we can save a date now.
Deb asked about the Christmas parade. Will we be joining the fun or passing on the activity for this year? Danielle suggested that maybe we can borrow the golf carts form Elmwood and decorate them. We will learn more in the next club meeting.
Deb met with the Executive Director for the Senior Center this week and shared that they have already put a date on the calendar of March 12th for the Day of Warming. Reminders will come out soon and Danielle will invite the WOSCD interact club.
Deb also asked what the plans will be to address membership moving forward. A membership event had been suggested during the Strategic planning sessions so Danielle will bring it forward to the board which will include a discussion on collaborative efforts with Ogunquit.
Lastly,
Deb will be sending out a calendar for the rest of the year identifying all of the service projects and fundraisers through the end of Danielle’s Presidency.
Reminder that our next speaker will be the Exec Director for American Red Cross. The date is November 3rd
