amanda fitzgerald, branch manager - sis bank

MEMBER SINCE: June 2015

WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO JOIN ROTARY?: I was a member of the Biddeford Saco Rotary previously, and really enjoyed it.  Moving to a different town/market I felt like this would be an excellent opportunity to meet new people and find out more about the Wells community.

SINCE BEING IN ROTARY ARE THERE ANY SPECIFIC PROJECTS THAT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF? WHY?: I am excited to assist in the clubs efforts to be more intergrated with social media and have recently taken on managing our Facebook page. I think this will help us reach other prospective members and will act as a platform to show the community what are club is doing to help improve the lives of its citizens.

TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF: WHAT IS YOUR LINE OF WORK? WHAT GOT YOU IN THE FIELD? WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE HOBBYS? WHAT DO YOU WANT OTHER ROTARIANS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN OUT OF THIS ROTARY CLUB?: I have been in banking for over 15 years, starting as a teller and working my way through different roles of the bank.  I then moved to customer service, assistant manager and finally my current role as a branch manager.  Banking can be challenging but helping someone save money or achieve their goals is a great feeling.  On a personal note, I grew up in northern Maine and moved here in the late 90’s.  I get home as often as I can to visit. Some of my hobbies include cooking, hula-hooping and spending way too much time on Pinterest.  I currently live in Lyman, Maine with my husband Jason, step-daughter Keira and our spoiled pets Sugar and Brady.  (Go Pats!)
